rekon is a reconciliation and payment operations tool designed to help companies receive, track, and manage payments through a more controlled flow. kiban’s module highlights automatic payment identification and allocation, plus support for payment methods such as STP, SPEI by Kiban, Conekta, and OXXO Pay.

A key challenge in this space is coordinating multiple payment rails and statuses while keeping transaction records, withdrawals, and notifications aligned. In Mexico, SPEI and providers like STP add operational value, but they also require reliable tracking, event handling, and clear reconciliation logic to avoid manual follow-up and errors.

rekon helps solve that by centralizing payment collection, reconciliation, withdrawals, notifications, and developer-facing integrations in one tool. This makes payment operations more traceable, easier to automate, and more manageable for teams handling financial flows.

rekon works through kiban cloud, where users can process payments with different payment methods and manage the operational flow from a single interface. The module documentation shows payments, payment orders, withdrawals, payment methods, notifications, and developer features such as webhooks.

Funds are managed inside the tool, where users can review payment activity, schedule withdrawals, and configure notifications related to payments and withdrawals. They can also create webhooks to trigger external actions when relevant payment events occur.

For technical integrations, rekon includes developer capabilities to create and manage webhooks, and your description indicates API-key-based usage as part of the product experience. This allows companies to connect the tool with their own systems while keeping payment events and operational responses synchronized.

I worked on rekon as Tech Lead and Frontend Developer, helping define the frontend architecture and technical direction of the project. My role focused on building a stronger foundation that improved readability, scalability, and long-term maintainability.

At that stage, we introduced a newer architecture that helped reduce bugs and made the codebase easier to understand and evolve. My contribution was centered on turning that architectural shift into a cleaner and more reliable frontend implementation.
