kiban workfloo | Workflow Automation for Credit Operations Cover

Background

Workfloo is a workflow automation tool for the credit sector, designed to help companies structure and execute processes based on validations, external data sources, and business rules. Through configurable workflows and specialized connectors, it organizes how credit-related information is collected, evaluated, and processed.

It connects with services such as Buró de Crédito, Círculo de Crédito, IMSS NSS, cédula profesional, INE OCR, and partners like Mifiel, helping companies digitize flows that depend on identity checks, document validation, and trusted third-party information.

Workfloo solves the operational complexity behind credit and risk processes by centralizing rules, connector responses, and data inputs into one organized flow. This makes operations more consistent, traceable, and efficient for teams working with sensitive financial decisions.

Project Overview

Workfloo is built around configurable workflows composed of multiple connectors, each one responsible for retrieving, validating, transforming, or sending information. This helps companies in the credit sector keep their data flow structured and reduce manual operational work.

These workflows can be executed as real business flows, where rules, connector responses, and decision points determine how each case moves forward. This allows teams to process information in a more organized, traceable, and scalable way.

Workfloo also supports workflow validation and optimization through test cases, A/B testing, and backtesting. This helps companies compare versions, measure results, and improve how their credit-related processes perform over time.

My Role

I contributed to Workfloo as a Tech Lead, Frontend Engineer, and UI/UX contributor, helping shape both the product experience and the technical direction of the tool. My work focused on building scalable frontend solutions for complex workflow and connector-based experiences.

I was involved in structuring interfaces for dynamic configurations, execution views, and data-heavy flows, always aiming for clarity and usability. I also collaborated on product decisions to ensure the tool remained intuitive despite its operational complexity.

From a technical perspective, I helped drive frontend architecture, component organization, and implementation quality, while also supporting the creation of interfaces aligned with real business needs in the credit sector.

Workfloo’s creation and editing flow is based on configurable connectors that handle validations, credit bureau requests, partnership integrations, and branching logic. It also supports error outputs, helping teams define how each workflow should respond when a step fails or returns a specific result.

Workfloo’s test cases let users safely validate workflows in sandbox mode using predefined scenarios tied to specific connectors and responses. This makes it possible to simulate static Buró de Crédito, Círculo de Crédito, and other integration outputs before running workflows in real operational environments.

Workfloo’s backtesting lets users validate decision tree changes against historical data, comparing updated outputs with the original workflow behavior. This helps teams measure the impact of new rules before applying them to real credit operations.

Execute flow runs each configured connector in sequence, processing validations, integrations, and business rules through API-based services or kiban cloud UI interactions. This allows companies to execute structured credit workflows while keeping each step connected to the full information flow.

Workfloo’s A/B testing lets users compare two workflows across multiple executions, controlling how often each one runs through configurable traffic percentages. The dashboard then displays the results of each workflow, helping teams evaluate outcomes, performance, and execution behavior over time.
